EFI Closure Statement: We are so sad to announce, English for Internationals has closed. We'd like to say thank you to our staff, students, and the global community for your support during the 30 years of our operation. Your trust allowed us to provide ESL courses to international students from 5 of the 7 continents totaling over 20,000 students from all over the world. It was our joy and privilege to serve and encourage you in your professional and personal lives. We hope the memories you have from being a part of the EFI family will live in your heart like they do in ours.
Sincerely,If you’re ready to start taking ESL or EFL classes, congrats! This is a huge step in your life that will help you become successful professionally, academically, and personally. However, the beginning stages of planning to take English classes can be difficult. Thankfully, the staff of English for Internationals, an Atlanta-based English school, is here today to help you with the five steps to take when planning for ESL or EFL classes.
Just like each student is unique, every school will be unique. Consider factors that are important to you such as the class schedule and the location of the school, such as Atlanta. Also, look into specifics such as the school’s accreditations and reviews that previous students have written. This will help you understand the school’s quality. By researching accreditations and reviews, you might find that some schools on your list might not be great schools to study at. This is an important step in understanding which school is best for you.
Once you have targeted schools that you would like to study at, apply to them to begin the next process. Some schools might charge a small fee to submit an application. Only apply to the schools that you feel meet all your needs, as described in the section above. Good luck!
We understand that it might be confusing to know which visa you need to study English in the United States. For most of our international students, an F1 visa is required to study at English for Internationals. The F1 is a visa that allows foreigners of the U.S. to study the States. We provide a resource that helps guide you through the basics and process of the F1 visa.
School can be time-consuming. Because of that, it may be difficult for some to afford it. In some cases, you might have to put aside work to make time for school. If you need financial support to be able to pursue ESL classes, research organizations that can help with this, and ask anyone close to you how to handle the situation—they may be able to assist. Additionally, some schools might offer various payment schedules that might help your situation. Visit our FAQ page to learn more.
We know applying to a new school can be stressful. Don’t overwhelm yourself through this process. Take time to relax and to enjoy the process. This is an exciting time for you, and you should enjoy this moment as much as you can. If you need help, as a trusted friend or family member if they have time to support you.
