We hope the memories you have from being a part of the EFI family will live in your heart like they do in ours.
Sincerely,Much like a college course, passing the TOEFL iBT test will require dedication and hard work. Luckily, our TOEFL prep classes are available to help you better understand the English language and give you the resources you need to pass the test. During prep, students will practice integrated reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills required for the TOEFL iBT test. Here are 4 ways you can master for your TOEFL Prep class:
1. Come to class prepared
Come to every TOEFL Prep Class with a positive attitude and ready to learn! Bring extra writing utensils and a notebook for note taking, plus any other supplies you think you may need. Always show up on time so you never feel rushed or fall behind. Consider eating a balanced breakfast before class. Research has shown a connection between eating breakfast and positive performance in school. Starting off on the right foot is a great way to guarantee success.
2. Take Notes and Ask Questions
Effective note taking can do more than just record information. Writing down notes keeps you alert and engaged. Notes also organize the presentation, which will make further studying and understanding much easier. Simple questions can improve your learning experience. Asking questions has many benefits; such as building a foundation for knowledge and increase your ability to recall the information.
3. Get Extra Support
Preparation for your test can be fun! Put together a study group with friends or tune into your favorite English television show for extra help. It won’t feel like studying! Online newspapers, magazines, or Academic papers written in English can also be very helpful.
Forming a study group has also been proven to help avoid procrastination. Also, you’ll get new perspectives from other English learners and be able to practice first hand with other students. Practice makes perfect!
4. Utilize Available Preparation Resources from ETS.org
Keep in mind that learning a new language is challenging. It takes time and lots of practice to master. It’s in your best interest to utilize the amazing resources provided by ETS.org. ETS offers a variety of practice materials to help you prepare for your test build your English skills. Materials include free sample questions, practice tests, interactive skill-building programs, and detailed tips and information for understanding more about the test.
